Glitter and Fire and Dragons, Oh My!

February 2, 2010

Oh Creative One! Yesterday my five-year-old son greeted me afterschool with his main gal pal not with a hello or can-I-please-please-please-have-her-over? He greeted me with a breathless account of a fire-breathing dragon that visited his classroom while he was away. This dragon’s scales were most likely made of glitter as glitter was strewn everywhere and the dragon was most likely a baby because only baby dragons could fit through the school doors. My son also hoped that this dragon was merely lost and not an orphan. Orphan dragons could be lonely and hard to care for…

Sparkling Creative One! Listen to any fantastical story you come across as if it were true. Follow its path. Document where it takes you in the medium of your choice.
